About Us

Honest food, sourced the slow way - from the farms, hives and valleys of Pakistan.

How it started

It began with a jar of ghee that tasted wrong

Salsabeel Khalis started in a family kitchen in Bhakkar, Punjab. Our grandmother had churned her own butter for fifty years, and the difference between her ghee and the tins on the shop shelf was impossible to ignore - in the smell, the colour, the way it behaved in the pan.

When we started asking why, the answers were uncomfortable. Blended oils sold as pure. Honey thinned with sugar syrup. Shilajit that had never seen a mountain. The people producing the real thing - small farmers, beekeepers, hill gatherers - had no way to reach the families who wanted it.

So we built one. We went back to those producers, agreed on honest prices, tested what they gave us, and put it in jars under our own name. Nothing else was added. Nothing was taken out.

Where it comes from

We know every hand our food passes through

No middlemen, no anonymous wholesale lots. Each product is traced to the people and the place it came from.

Himalayan Shilajit

Hand-collected from high-altitude rock faces in Gilgit-Baltistan, then purified using the traditional Suryatapi (sun-filtration) method - never chemically extracted.

Desi Ghee

Churned from the curd of grass-fed desi cows kept by farming families we visit ourselves. Slow-cooked in small batches over a wood fire, the way it has always been done.

Raw Honey

Taken from beekeepers who follow the flowering season across Punjab and KPK. Cold-extracted, never heated or filtered to death, so the pollen and enzymes survive.

Ashwagandha

Roots grown without synthetic pesticides, shade-dried to protect the withanolides, and milled fresh rather than stored as powder for months.

Mustard Oil

Wood-pressed (kolhu) at low temperature from a single-origin seed lot. Unrefined and unblended, which is why it still smells like mustard should.

Straight to your door

Packed in Bhakkar and dispatched within 24 hours, so nothing sits in a warehouse losing what makes it good.

Quality & testing

Four checks between the farm and your shelf

Purity is a claim until somebody measures it. Here is what every batch goes through before it earns our label.

  1. 01

    Source verification

We visit the farm, hive or collection site in person and agree the harvesting method before a single order is placed.

  2. 02

    Traditional extraction

Wood-pressing, hand-churning, sun-filtration and cold extraction. Slower and lower-yield than industrial methods - and the reason the nutrients survive.

  3. 03

    Independent lab testing

Each batch is sent to an accredited laboratory for purity, adulteration and heavy-metal screening. Reports are linked on the product pages.

  4. 04

    Sealed at source

Filled, sealed and batch-coded in our own facility in Bhakkar. No additives, no preservatives, no colouring - there is nothing on the label that is not in the jar.

What we stand for

Our promise, in four lines

Purity

One ingredient, unblended. If it says raw honey, that is all that is in the jar.

Authenticity

Traditional methods kept intact, even when they cost more and yield less.

Honesty

Test reports published, batch codes printed, and no health claim we cannot stand behind.

Fair partnership

Local farmers and producers paid properly and on time, so the craft survives another generation.

We are not a large company, and we are not trying to become one quickly. Every jar that leaves Bhakkar carries our family name on it, which is the only quality-control system that has ever really worked.

If something we send you is not right, tell us. We will make it right.
